32121 Very disappointed in the fact that it was “bird season” and the island was literally infested with thousands and thousands of birds but you aren’t warned of that. There was feces everywhere and that’s all you could smell. My husband was pooped on twice in one day. Very disgusting and unsanitary. The snorkeling was amazing(despite both of us being stung by blue bottle jellyfish). It’s a bit scarey that there are no lifeguards on the beaches watching the snorkelers if anyone is in need of aide. I definitely feel the cost of the trip is way more than it is worth. There is no air conditioning to escape the brutal heat at night. And the sewage smell backed up into our room after showering. I doubt I would recommend a trip to this island to anyone. Huge improvements need to be made!

43211 It was a good experience, but not great. While the staff snorkeling with us were super (especially Pablo!) we felt there was a lack of surveillance on the beaches. While they did tell us where to swim upon our arrival on the island, it would have been nice to have a person of reference (and for any necessary help) on the beach. When we went out on our own, I felt a little overwhelmed by the waves (I’m not a bad swimmer) and the fact that I was so close to the coral definitely made me nervous. On the island itself, , restaurant staff could be a little more flexible with food serving hours – a staff member literally cleared away breakfast potatoes while my son was serving himself because it was 9:00am… closing time for the breakfast buffet! Did want to mention that our pilot, Dane, was fantastic! I realize that you have a monopoly on the area, but I do feel that a little more courtesy and service wouldn’t hurt. Not sure I would recommend this trip 🙁

54321 Great trip with so many things to do. Reef and fish everywhere.
Cliff — 31 July, 2019

54321 Really fantastic trip. Everything went smoothly from the moment the plane picked us up. Staff on the island were friendly, knowledgable and helpful, food was excellent and the boat trip and snorkelling was just amazing. It was wonderful to be able to swim with some of nature’s most amazing and endangered creatures. A proper once in a lifetime experience. Would thoroughly recommend. Kids loved it too and got such a lot out of it. A trip we will all never forget.

54321 We had an awesome time. The experience starts the moment you board the plane. The staff on the island are friendly and professional. The garden room was nice but be aware you can’t lock your room from the outside. I wasn’t excited by the food especially instant coffee. The food/coffee purchased at cafe was excellent.
Jan — 13 April, 2019

54321 Amazing from start to finish! The flight was the best I’ve ever had and the staff all so knowledge and so willing to help make the most of your trip. Loved seeing turtles, a shark, dolphins and a sting ray all within an hour of being on the island. Cocktails were amazing too, perhaps with the exception of the Bundaberg and milk ????. Would love to come back soon!
Holly — 13 March, 2019

54321 Fantastic trip. I was nervous about the flight but it was great. The island, staff and food are wonderful. We so wish we had stayed longer. Cannot recommend enough!
Helen Cutts — 13 November, 2018

54321 I was pretty nervous at going to the island on a small plane but I am very pleased to say that the staff were professional and on time. I felt comfortable and safe in the plane there and back. The island itself is lovely and a birding paradise and has great scuba diving and snorkeling. The garden unit was amazing. I have no complaints about the whole experience. The food was exceptional. Particularly as you have to keep your mind this is an island 100 km off the mainland, it was better than some hotels I’ve stayed in. Everythung was clean and organised. The staff were all lovely and professional. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the island. I really enjoyed the tours that I took part in and I also enjoyed the freedom to walk around the island and see what I could see – birds and turtle. I would recommend this to people interested in birding who are eco driven. Beung a corale cay, it is a natural birding island, full of sea and shore birds, a lot of which you would never see anywhere else or as close. LEI is an example of how dedicated eco staff are able to achieve positive tourism through solar power and being aware of the environment that they live in. Note, no tv, no internet and no phone service. You can pay for the last two, but half the point is to switch off from mainland life.
