43211 The guys at reef free were wonderful in helping us choose this trip. They were always available and answered all of our questions. We had two adults and our 22 month old and the trip was wonderful! We saw a sea turtle from the boat and my husband swam with one. There was always plenty of food and drink on board and the staff were very friendly. My toddler and I did the glass bottom boat tour and it was very informative. The only downside is the shuttle back and forth to the island from the boat so make sure to get in line quickly at the back of the boat before you arrive to the Low Isles, we weren’t able to board any of the first shuttles and were only able to snorkel for about 30 minutes together before we had to get back for lunch. They had noodles available so our 22 month old was actually able to snorkel/swim with us. If you want more time to snorkel pack a lunch so you can eat on the island. That being said the lunch they offered was delicious. Overall it was a great experience especially the sail to and from the island.

32121 We were a group of 7 with 3 children who went on the low isles tour. The kids really enjoyed it but there was a lot of waiting around until we could actually snorkel. The boat was 40 mins late leaving the port then after we arrived we waited another 30 mins for a shuttle boat to the beach. Getting kids into Lycra suits and masks etc meant we only had about 30 mins snorkelling before we had to get back on the boat before lunch service finished. By that one the tide has receded and we could swim over the coral. We did see some great fish in our afternoon session but only had another hour or so which really wasn’t long enough and we definatley didn’t have time for the other activities. My family had travelled all the way from the UK and they will have great memories of their holiday but the trip is expensive and I was disappointed with so much waiting around and not enough time to see the island. Consider leaving earlier from the marina, doing the snorkel instruction while the boat is travelling, getting families kitted out and onto a shuttle boat first, having more shuttle boats, having lunch on the island to avoid the back and forth etc.

54321 The trip we had booked was cancelled so we were upgraded to the more expensive trip at no extra cost – the staff were amazing. the boat out to the reef had great facilities, and the pontoon and the reef were magnificent! Would highly recommend it all!

Our Tour Review

The Good

The boat is a large stable catamaran which takes only 1 hour to cruise to Low Isles. Snorkelling from the beach means easy access in and out of the water. This tour is popular amongst families with young children, and people with little or no snorkelling or swimming experience.

Things to Consider

Turtle sightings are not guaranteed but they are common around Low Isles and may be seen when you are snorkelling or on the glass bottom boat tour.

The glass bottom boat tour operates several times during the day so this tour is also good for people who want to do little or no
snorkelling.

All-you-can-eat buffet lunch is served on board the boat.

Our Recommendation

This tour is family-friendly and perfect for novice snorkelers who want a relaxing day out.
