Fraser Island is the world’s largest sand island at 123 kilometres long and 22 kilometres wide. Listed as a World Heritage site since 1992, Fraser Island is home to the world’s only example of a tall rainforest growing on sand, as well as an array of wildlife and sea life including dingoes, dugongs, dolphins, rays, sharks, and whales.
