Board a catamaran at Cairns and cruise to Marine World, a floating platform at the Outer Barrier Reef which will be the base for a day of exciting activities.

Jump into the reef's warm tropical waters to snorkel over coral gardens that are home to a plethora of fish, turtles, molluscs and other fascinating sea creatures. Stay dry and plunge deeper by boarding a semi-submersible as well as a glass-bottomed boat. Head down to the observatory to see more of the reef's vivid marine life. If you're after more activities, you can also opt for introductory or certified scuba dives, and even helicopter rides at an additional cost.

Our Tour Review

The Good

This tour suits everyone as it offers a variety of activities for swimmers and non-swimmers.

It is perfect for families with children. Semi-sub tours, glass bottom boat tours, underwater observatory, unlimited snorkelling including snorkel equipment and wetsuits and lycra suits, buffet lunch are all included. Many people add on a scuba dive or a scenic helicopter flight to see the reef from a different perspective. The outer reef location has good visibility.

Things to Consider

The fast, stable catamaran gives you a comfortable ride to the outer reef and carries a maximum of 200 passengers.

The hot and cold buffet lunch is open for 1.5 hours giving everyone plenty of time.

The platform provides easy access to the snorkel area.

German & French -speaking crew are on board every day.

Wetsuits and stinger suits are now included in the price.
